And now for something entirely different - here's one I made awhile back for my series at the Woodman Fen. It's an 8" x 10" oil on canvas titled, "Fen 3/Pond Oasis." The area will soon look like this again again - teeming with life. Enjoy.

Here's one that - after I finished it - looked like an underwater scene to me, and a bit otherworldly at that; so I'm calling it "Under Moon Sea." It's a highly textured 12" x 12" acrylic/mixed media on canvas, ready to hang or frame. Enjoy.

Here's a new one from the abstract realm. It's part of a series I've been working on lately that's highly textured. This one is a 12" x 12" acrylic/mixed media on canvas titled, "Moon Sunrise." They are all with black painted edges, wired, and ready to hang. Enjoy.

Here's the first of my new "mini" series. They're all 4" square original acrylics on canvas and this one is simply called "Mini Flower 1." As a Spring special - I'm selling them for just $35 each, or 2 or more for $30 each. Enjoy!
Note: This paypal button is for one mini. If you want 2 or more (pictures of all in the series so far are on my website: klingerart.com) - just drop me an email and I'll be happy to make a custom button just for you. Thanks! And, as always, if you live in the vicinity of Dayton/Yellow Springs, Ohio, and wish to pick the piece(s) up, I will of course refund your (built-in) shipping fee.

This is another from my Glen Helen series. While walking on the trail I came upon this scene. The Glen folks like to leave nature natural, so this scene of grape vines cradling a felled log intrigued me. The painting is a 12" x 9" oil on canvas panel titled, "Log Cradle." It's currently in Klinger Studio in Yellow Springs, Ohio, awaiting adoption. Enjoy.

Here's a second from my series in Glen Helen. It's a 12" x 9" oil on canvas panel I call "Uphill Trail." Not to brag, but it won first place in Glen Helen's 50th Anniversary Invitational Exhibit in 2010. The painting's scene is the Glen's lovely Inman Trail. The trail has since been restored and so looks a bit different (safer) than when I painted it. The piece, which resided in Springs Gallery in Yellow Springs, Ohio, has now sold. Thank you.

Here's one from the Summer. It's an 8" x 10" oil on canvas I painted at the Woodman Fen in Dayton. I did a whole series (about 10) there. It's a magical place right in the heart of a neighborhood, saved from the dozer by 5 Rivers Metroparks. I call this one "Sycamore Stand." It may already have made an appearance here, but that's okay. It formerly resided at Springs Gallery in Yellow Springs, OH, along with many of its mates, some of which still await adoption. This one has been sold. Thanks.

Here's an oldy but goody. It's a site I painted awhile back that was long "Abandoned Land" that I knew had been purchased and was soon to be "developed." I just really liked the way it looked since it had had a chance to be natural for years. The piece, a 10" x 8" oil on canvas, currently resides at Klinger Studio in Yellow Springs, Ohio, awaiting adoption. Enjoy.

Can't get enough of those trees! As I'm posting this I'm looking outside - the sun is out and it's snowing. Sounds like a painting to me! Anyway, this is another in my 8" x 8" series. It's a textured acrylic on canvas titled "Tree Glow." It currently lives at Springs Gallery in Yellow Springs, Ohio, awaiting adoption. Enjoy.

Here's a little piece I'm calling "Trees on Ice." It told me its title as I was painting away and suddenly realized it was looking like trees reflecting on ice; that's the way I've been working these days. It's an 8" x 8", highly textured, acrylic on canvas that formerly resided at Springs Gallery in Yellow Springs, OH, but now lives in California. Thank you.

Here's a larger abstract I've been calling "Young Trees," because the land is alive and it looks like the trees are all friends and connected. It is a highly textured 12" x 12" acrylic on canvas which currently resides at Springs Gallery in Yellow Springs, Ohio, but is awaiting adoption. Enjoy.

It's back to the abstract realm for this one. It's a highly textured, UV varnished, 8" square acrylic on canvas that's ready to hang. I've been calling it "Lavender Day" - don't ask me why. I title my work via stream of consciousness and this just seems like a nice place, and time, to be. Enjoy.

Here's a companion to the last post. It's a 10" x 8" oil on canvas I painted in the Beavercreek Wetlands also. There was a lot of beaver destruction there which was reeking all sorts of havock but hey, that's what they do. I think there's a strange, natural beauty in their work.
